My engineering and research interests lie in the implementation and performance evaluation of network protocols and services, and particularly in the following domains:
1. Virtualization and software defined networking (e.i, Kubernetes, Openstack, ONOS, SEBA, & OMEC)
2. Cloud and edge cloud infrastructure
3. Orchestration systems (e.i., MANO, XOS, OpenBaton)
4. Optimisation of resources allocation
Short biography
Since June 2023, Abdulhalim Dandoush is the Head of IT department and associate Professor in IT and Computer science at UDST, Qatar. He is also an associated researcher at the Esme Research Lab of the ESME engineering school and at the L2TI institution of the Sorbonne University Paris Nord (France). Abdulhalim Dandoush was the head of the expertise areas in « Computing, Modeling and Digital Technologies » at ESME in France, between September 2017 and July 2022. He obtained a Master degree in Networking and a PhD in Information technology from INRIA and the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis in 2006 and in 2010 respectively. Before joining ESME, he worked as Expert Engineer at INRIA-Sophia Antipolis within the INRIA-Alstom Transport joint Lab. His interests lie in the performance evaluation and optimization of network protocols and also in the intelligent management of new generation networks. He was co-leading the ONF/ONOS teaching brigade in 2017/2018. He worked at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis in France as assistant and associate to research and teaching for between 2006 and 2010 and as an assistant professor at the University of Tishreen in Syria and the Arab Academy for Sciences and Technology in Egypt between 2011 and 2014.
